Winter in the Ahrn Valley
At the beginning of December, the winter fun really begins. And it starts right at the front door: Hotel Sonnleiten in Steinhaus is located directly next to the ski lifts of the skiing area Klausberg. You won't need a car to get to the exceptional ski slopes and excellently prepared cross-country runs. A comfortable free shuttle service will take you to the second ski area in the Ahrn Valley, the Speikboden; the shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. Did you know that you can enjoy the various winter sports at the Ahrn Valley longer than in other regions? Due to the altitude of the valley, snow stays on the mountains a little longer.
In the Ahrn Valley, you can choose from one of two 2 premier ski areas: the Klausberg ski area in Steinhaus (just 100 m from the hotel) or take a 20 minute ride in the free ski shuttle to the Speikboden ski area in Sand in Taufers. The shuttle stops right in front of the hotel.
The children's ski area Klausiland at the Klausberg is located just 100 m away from the Hotel Sonnleiten: A great adventure for our little guests.
